Highlights: Mining Day on the Hill 2007

, over 70 Mining Association of Canada delegates met with approximately 70 federal decision-makers, including Ministers, key Members of Parliament and federal officials, in what was the biggest Mining Day on the Hill to date! The theme this year was The Mineral Industry and Aboriginal People: Strengthening Ties.
Annual Mining Day on the Hill Luncheon: The keynote address was delivered by National Chief Phil Fontaine and was followed by a signing of a Letter of Intent between the Assembly of First Nations and The Mining Association who agreed to enter into a partnership for the purposes of collaborating in such areas as joint advocacy on federal consultation policy and land claims resolution, human resource development and land use planning.
