Disaster Forum 2016

May 09, 2016 to May 12, 2016
Banff, ALTA

The annual Disaster Forum is a conference designed to promote professionalism in emergency planning and risk management within Canada.  The annual conference features renowned experts in the field of emergency planning and response, and offers both formal and informal opportunities for delegates to share, network and learn.  The intent of the conference is to help build more effective emergency response communities and improve their ability to protect public safety. Presently, organizers of the Disaster Forum are seeking sponsorship to provide critical financial support to the conference, as well as speakers to add to the agenda. Speakers can be from the private and public sectors, NGOs and academia, and can speak about innovative approaches they are taking to improve how they prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies.
